Speedy deletion nomination of User:Mahasundari devi

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Mahasundari devi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. --Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 14:40, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Mahasundari devi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Mahasundari Devi, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 14:45, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (I am the grandson of Smt. Mahasundari Devi and I have full right to mention correct detail about her. You have no right to publish wrong information about her. If this page is deleted I will surely take strict action against Wikipedia for publishing wrong information.) --Mahasundari devi (talk) 17:41, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

"All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." As you have a conflict of interest, you should discuss your concerns on the article talk page. You may not have article content on your user page. So far, you have not corrected any "errors". You have added your contact information which has no place in a Wikipedia article. You have made a legal threat. Please see WP:NLT.18:47, 1 June 2020 (UTC) --Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 19:02, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have reviewed your edits. The only content change you made, apart from adding spam, was to change the date of her "first felicitation". The date, 1976, is supported by a reliable source. The date you changed it to does not. Please withdraw your legal threat or you may be blocked from editing w/o further warning. Thank you. --Deep fried okra User talk:Deepfriedokra 19:09, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Given your unresolved concerns with the content of the article about your grandmother, you can contact the WMF at this email info-en-q wikimedia.org --Deep fried okra (schalte ein) 14:35, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Your recent edits could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:21, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
