Notability concerns

Hello,

I have rewritten the article to be neutral. Referring to every argument as a consideration or a statement from the initiative. The text is explaining what the initiative is about and from that point of view it fulfills its goals. The verification can be maid on the website of the initiative where all the description of the article can be found.

The aim of the article is not to promote, but to inform about an issue of development in the african countries mainly ... I can rename the article : "English language related issue of development in African countries"

Do you prefer that ?

If you need other precisions, please add them in the text like elsewhere in Wikipedia (citation needed ... etc)

I feel what's happening is a little bit unfair ... why don't you tell me what is the real problem ? For what part do you need citations ? Can you make a list instead of erasing the page every time ?

A message about things related to this article

Everything is done to keep African from knowing the truth … They are told things like there is English teaching in those countries … But the truth is that the level of English that is taught as 2nd or 3rd foreign language does not allow the African people to work, communicate, sell, read the news, make scientific research and be comfortable with technological matters !!! The vast majority of countries where English is ALREADY 1st foreign language are doing huge efforts to increase the level of English in schools and universities : In Europe (including France), South America, the Middle East and Asia there are numerous programs to enhance the teaching of English and to teach it sooner in the curriculum … But they keep saying to the African people that they know enough English !!!!!! There is absolutely no reason for those people to keep speaking any other foreign language that was imposed on them by force, by corruption and terror

As for your complete rewrite of the article, I'm sorry to say that it is just as promotional as the original. You are stating the initiative's goals. There is, quite simply, no way you can write about the goals without it being inherently promotional, therefore unacceptable for Wikipedia. What you should do, instead, is cite third-party independent sources stating to what extent these goals have already been accomplished by the initiative. See WP:NOBLECAUSE.

Hello, I added one third party source in the External link with an article about the initiative ... There is also an article on attac.org but the site seems to be down for the moment. I replaced the goals with an achvements section. Now anyone can add to the article ... maybe I shouldn't be the only contributor ... However, I hope it is sufficiently adequate for now not to be deleted.

Unfortunately, the article doesn't demonstrate the importance (I'm not talking about notability; I simply mean the normal meaning of "importance" or "significance") of its subject. Your question on Talk:English language

Hi Mahdi.mrabet. As pointed out here, the big problem is that this initiative just doesn't seem notable enough yet. In other words, before we can have an article about it on Facebook, it needs to be mentioned in lots of independent reliable sources, like newspapers and magazines (especially international ones), books, television documentaries, and independent reports. And there either needs to be a couple of in-depth mentions in these sources, or a large number of more superficial mentions. This page tells you more. As someone says on the Article for Deletion page, it may be that this initiative will one day be notable enough to appear on Wikipedia. You can either wait till then, or, if you believe the initiative is already notable enough, you'll need to find enough reliable independent sources to justify that. Re: Language barrier

Hi Mahdi.mrabet! Other than the copyrighted image, there were two main problems with your edit:

1. It was not sourced to reliable sources
2. It was not written in an encyclopedic tone

In short, in order to include text on Wikipedia, it must firstly be written in a neutral tone that does not take sides and does not make assumptions. Also, while reliable sources aren't strictly required, text that is not sourced may be removed if other editors have serious doubts about its accuracy. Hi again! I believe that making a blanket revert (removal) of this particular edit was justified because of a combination of the two factors outlined above. Had there only been one problem (either no sources or not neutral), it would indeed have been better to discuss the edit first. However, content that does not adhere to Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and is unsourced at the same time should not be on Wikipedia.
