Hey Mark, sorry 'bout that. I have rv'd my hasty rv. Just being defensive I guess (being a Mac user). Good catch. I just have taken out the piped link which seems a bit extreme (to Breaking wheel). Put it back in if you feel strongly about it and we can discuss it further. Whoa, livin' on a boat - cool! (Be sure to use lower case "wheel" or we'll end up at different places!) I've already screwed up a few times just responding to (...Wheel vs ...wheel). --hydnjo talk 03:18, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Maine coon red.jpg
editThis media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Maine coon red.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 06:59, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Image tagging for Image:Healey_100.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Healey_100.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Speedy deletion nomination of GaragePunk.com
editA tag has been placed on GaragePunk.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. External linking of maps & sat photos
editHi Mark,
You don't need to link to satellite photos when the article is geocoded. Try clicking on the coordinates at the top right of the article in the toolbar and it will give you a full page of links for maps and sat photos, etc. Hope that helps,

- Ah, right. Thanks for the reminder.
Fair use rationale for File:Discovery at 2011-03-09 at 12.01.11 PM.png
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Discovery at 2011-03-09 at 12.01.11 PM.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:06, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Original Bridge of Lions.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Original Bridge of Lions.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:06, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Discovery at 2011-03-09 at 12.01.11 PM.png
editThanks for uploading File:Discovery at 2011-03-09 at 12.01.11 PM.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
PLEASE NOTE:
- I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions. If you have a question, place a {{helpme}} template, along with your question, beneath this message.
- I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
- If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

The article GaragePunk Hideout has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not pass WP:GNG, WP:WEB, or WP:NCORP. The only sources are blogs and other WP:SPS. The RFT might be reliable, but GNG states that "multiple sources are generally expected" and that "Multiple publications from the same author or organization are usually regarded as a single source for the purposes of establishing notability."
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
