inquiry about unblocking
editHello, Jim, It's my first time trying to do something in Wikipedia, so sorry for my mistakes. Could you explain me a little bit how does it workes. As far as I understand, I was blocked because my username and my article name were the same. Is it still available to change my username and continue editing my article. If not, if I create a new account will I be able to edit mys article? I need to add some photos, artwork measurement and other technical information and more references. Make everything great again (talk) 14:49, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
- No problem, you are correct about the reason for the block, purely technical in this case. You can edit the article, but note that you need more independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts; that's particularly the case with the quotations. I removed your unsourced last sentence and added some categories. Note that I only saw this message by chance. If you want to contact me, you can do so on my talk page, or alternatively leave a message on this page, and I will know you have done so if you start it with my user name, User:Jimfbleak and sign it with four tildes ~~~~ when you post it. Thank you for your answer.
The problem with the quotations is that the event is very recent and I have many articles of famous media, but they all are based mostly on one press release, so they are very similar and usage of them will not enrich the article: http://time.com/4336396/lithuania-mural-donald-trump-vladimir-putin-kiss/?xid=homepage

I have find some TV reports.
But there are no, at least I do not know, other sources to take quotations from.
I see on my article now there are marked several places where I could make quotations. Of course I will do this.

- Hi Mega, When User:Jimfbleak said to mention his username at the beginning of a post, he meant to link to it like I just did. That gives him an alert that someone is talking about him on this page. BTW I fixed you unblock request: You had closed it with only one '}', I made it two to give the request a proper close. —teb728 t c 18:45, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Thank you, teb728.

- Hi again Mega, notice that your link above is a red link, unlike the blue link in my signature. That is because you wrote just teb728 (a link to a non-existent article) rather than User:teb728 (technically a link to my userpage). As a result it didn't alert me. (I saw your post because I was temporarily watching this page.) Other ways to alert a user beside User:teb728 include teb728 and teb728 which display as "teb728" and "@Teb728:", respectively. (There are others, but those are the alerts I use.) —teb728 t c 19:39, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
