Jargon is unavoidable in higher mathematics
editAre you planning to put jargon labels on all math articles? The jargon is unavoidable because mathematics is inherently complicated. JRSpriggs 08:43, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- I looked at the two articles in question, and actually I do think they could use gentler introductions. But SD, please put such requests on the talk pages of the articles from now on. --Trovatore 09:59, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
I've reworked the first paragraph of large cardinal property; see if that helps at all. --Trovatore 10:26, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- Your rewording is quite an improvement, but I still think Inaccessible cardinal needs something similar. Sorry I put it on the main pages of the articles, but I did think they could have used some clearing up, and the large cardinal one is a lot better now. I'll put something like that on the talk page from now on if I see it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shadow demon (talk • contribs)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
