Disambiguation link notification for April 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please don't add redundant tags
editLike you did with Pierre Jerksten by adding {{BLP unsourced}}
and {{unsourced}}
at the same time, also, when you tag articles with twinkle, it says that you should use {{BLPPROD}}
instead. Lil Johnny (talk) 16:59, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
- Right, thanks. --Mandavi (talk) 17:09, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
April 2017
editHello Mandavi. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. - Thanks for your note. --Mandavi (talk) 10:59, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- User:KGirlTrucker81 Tijani Luqman Opeyemi seems to be entirely made up though, I checked that before tagging. --Mandavi (talk) 11:03, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- You've should tagged as A11 as more often your CSD tagging was incorrect. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:07, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- I was unsure what to take - A11 states Obviously made up by creator, and no claim of significance which doesn't seem to apply since the article does indeed claim significance by having played in Turkish major leages. It also wasn't obvious to me that the article was made up. And since the only source points to a website where the person isn't even mentioned I tagged it as BLP without sources. --Mandavi (talk) 11:13, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

- I have corrected the review task you began at Nextio. This task requires advance experience and a thorough knowledge of many Wikipedia policies and procedures. Please refrain now from patrolling new pages until you have significantly more experience and have read the extensive tutorials. If you have any questions, you can ask me on my talk page. Thanks. ArbCom 2017 election voter message
editHello, Mandavi. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
