Looking for Burning Man Sources
editI am trying to provide better sources for articles in Category:Burning Man, so I have started a collection of academic, journalistic, and other sources on the event and related subculture. If you know of any or run across them in your web surfing in the future, please add them to User:Todfox/Burning Man/Sources. Thanks! Kit 21:53, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
please remove your own external link from Burning man
edit- I was going to put this on the burning man talk page, but decided I'd just ask you straight away.
I had placed {{Cleanup-spam}} before the external links section in hopes that a neutral party would come along and clean this up, but it was removed by an owner of one of the external links. Having spent a fair amount of time since the last discussion addressing External links and specifically Linkspam, it kills me to see you continue to defend your own personal home page on this article. There is no way this would be held up by public review by the wikipedia community. Furthermore, I think it is easily fair to say that your site does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article here would have once it becomes an example of brilliant prose. (from WP:EL). Will you please remove this blatant vanity linkspam without further issue. If it makes you feel any better, go ahead remove a few other links also warrenting removal. Thanks, and seriously, nothing personal, but your site doesn't belong here! ∴ here…♠ 09:15, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
- My apologies. I feel like a dick for harrassing you about this, particularly on burning man. I hope that the content you've collected is eventually integrated into the article. Best ;), see you at the festivals! ∴ here…♠ 23:18, 17 December 2005 (UTC)
Burning Man Regional Events Infobox
editI've started putting together an Infobox that can go on the Burning Man type events pages. When you have a few moments and can look at the example I've put together, I'd appreciate any comments you might have. Thanks, and Burn On! SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 14:04, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
RSD Game-Maker
editHey. Do I understand correctly that you used to use Recreational Software Designs' Game-Maker? If you want to talk about it, you can track me down at aderack.com. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.114.143.115 (talk) 16:00, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
The article House of City has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Appears to be unencyclopedic and completely unsourced. Three refs are: Facebook (not a RS), Wikipedia (not valid as a ref) and a general intro to heredity, irrelevant to the point being "referenced".
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 20:43, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PamD (talk • contribs)
- Hello. This article appears to be -- to say the least -- unsupported by reliable sources, and on the face of it appears to be a hoax article. If you can demonstrate that this meets the general notability guidelines, you should be able to recreate it without getting it deleted again -- if not, it will, alas, keep on getting deleted.
Please note that writing a Wikipedia article for something does not make it real. You seem to have gone to some effort to create this thing, including backdated maintenance tags, and a logo you seem to have created yourself: can I ask why? Is this meant to be part of an alternate reality game, an attempt at creating a micronation, a joke, a breaching experiment? Or something else? -- The Anome (talk) 21:50, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 10
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lusatian culture, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lusitanian. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
