Disambiguation link notification for January 23
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Wojciech Jagielski (journalist), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Polish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for fixing some of the errors on this article. I'm just a little confused by your edit summery description: "ce; coi - sole contributor is a self declared employee". Could you please tell me what you meant by this? Does it affect the article in any way? Kndimov (talk) 22:24, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
- "ce" means "copyedit", "coi" means "tagged for conflict of interest" and being a self-declared paid employee of the subject of the article means other editors are encouraged to review the work to ensure it is neutral and balanced. QuiteUnusual (talk) 08:19, 4 March 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion on Bijan Ebrahimi
Hi
I'm new to wikipedia as a writer, so I'm still learning the rules and figuring out how it works.
Is it considered a violation of copyrights if you copy something from a news source? Because before I join wikipedia, I had seen many pages on wikipedia that used news websites verbatim in their context.
Moreover, if a page is deleted, is it possible to revive it later after editing it?
Thanks
A math.geek (talk) 12:31, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
- You cannot copy anything unless it is available under a license that is compatible with Wikipedia or it is in the public domain. If you have seen other pages that do this then they too are copyright violations. Yes a deleted page can be started afresh or recovered, but it won't be recovered to allow editing if the only content is a copyright violation as old versions are visible in the history.
