Welcome, and a few comments
editHello, Marcorobbies, and welcome to editing Wikipedia. I hope you have a successful time here. However, there are a few things about making links in articles which you should know about. Generally speaking, a link from one Wikipedia article to another should serve the purpose of enabling readers to find further information relevant to the article they are reading. Commonly this means giving further information about the subject of the article, but sometimes it means explaining the meaning of some word or expression used which a reader is quite likely not to know. A common mistake for new editors is to add links to just any article the subject of which is mentioned in the article they are editing, but this can actually be unhelpful, as it results in an article being filled with numerous links, some of them linking to relevant information but most of them not doing so, which makes it difficult for a reader to know which links are worth following up. For example, linking to writer in an article about a writer is unlikely to help any reader: the article writer won't have any information specifically about that particular writer, and we can normally assume that readers of the English language Wikipedia know what a writer is. Even more unhelpful is linking to an article which is not actually about whatever it is linked from in the source article at all. For example, the article Asli Agirbas says "She is known with her futuristic works." It is very likely that readers may be helped by a link to Futurism, which will tell them about the artistic movement in question, but linking to Future, as you did, will not help them at all, as its content is not about that art movement at all. Any reader who wishes to find out what "her futuristic works" means and who clicks on the link will be wasting there time, trying to find relevant information where there is none. I have therefore replaced that link with one to to Futurism.
Please don't think I am posting this message in spirit of criticism. All of us, when we start editing, do so without full knowledge of what is considered useful in Wikipedia, and it is by getting feedback on our editing that we learn and improve. I hope you will continue to edit, and make useful contributions to the encyclopaedia. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:00, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Fabian Geyrhalter
editHello, Marcorobbies,
I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Fabian Geyrhalter should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fabian Geyrhalter .
If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
Thanks,
