John Rochfort
editRegarding your edit to the John Rochfort article, where did you find info about him in the Lyttelton Times? I've searched the editions dated 7 and 28 February 1852 and there didn't appear to be anything about the Rochfort brothers. When you've got an article open, you need to record the URL as part of the reference. Please reply here; I will see when you do so. Schwede66 03:06, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Schwede66,
- Thanks for your pointers. I have a lot to learn and was just having a bit of a dabble today but I plan to enter a much fuller biography of John Rochfort in the near future, with proper links to the references, done according to the wikipedia format (hopefully by the end of next week).
- To answer your question re the references in the Lyttelton Times, I should also add the reference: Rochfort, John, The Adventures of a Surveyor in New Zealand and the Australian Goldfields. Christchurch: Capper Press, 1974. pp.3-12,16-17 (a copy of the book is available online http://nzetc.victoria.ac.nz/tm/scholarly/tei-RocAdve.html)
- The first Lyttelton Times reference is the arrival of the Marmora in Lyttelton (which the brothers sailed on from London): https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/LT18520207.2.7
- The second is the departure of the Marmora to Wellington with I and J Rochforth on board.

Henry Lewis
editI've got a bit of a backlog with new article review, so have only just seen Henry Lewis. I see that I've been to your page before and I can say it again – good work! Schwede66 03:43, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
