Marcvjnicolas
i find no evidence of your spelling of this name as 'Just'. please do not continue to use this spelling without first discussing it on the article talk page. thanks. --emerson7 15:15, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Evidence? I can provide 2 (two) evidences for the spelling of 'Just': - Ref 1: Archives départementales du Var (Var Department Archives), Commune de Brignoles, Actes de baptêmes de 1753 à 1762, page 282. http://www.archives.var.fr/arkotheque/archives_numerisees/3_famille_individus.php - Fiche biographique de l'Assemblee nationale (National Assembly of France): http://www.assemblee-nationale.fr/sycomore/fiche.asp?num_dept=16229 In addition, there is a large bibliography with the correct name 'Just' Please use the correct name :-) Thanks. - be that as it may, the english representation differs, as evidenced by each of he references within the article. also the french wikipedia article as well as the reference therein spells the name 'juste' --emerson7 05:54, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
- Because "Francois Juste Marie Raynouard" gave only 5,500 Google hits (many of which were mirrors of the Wikipedia article), while "Francois Just Marie Raynouard" gave 74k, I have moved the article to what appears to be the proper common English name for this person. I have also added two Marcvjnicolas provided. Please remember that spelling conventions were a lot more fluid centuries ago, and we must go by the current evidence.
