Treadmill crane
editThanks for creating this article. I've already moved it once for better capitalisation, but it should really be at Treadwheel crane. Traditionally a treadmill was worked by treading on the outside of the wheel (which had floats like a waterwheel) whilst a treadwheel was worked on the inside of the wheel, as is the case here. - I've moved the article to Treadwheel crane per our correspondance. Linking to an article on the French wikipedia is easily done. For example, to link the Windmill article to the corresponding French article you add the code [[fr:Moulin à vent]] to the bottom of the page on the windmill article and use "add fr iwl" in the edit summary so that other editors know what you've done to the article. Any problems give me a shout. BTW, you added your message at the top of my talk page. Normal procedure is to add new messages at the bottom. No harm done, I've moved it to the Mills section of the talk page and retitled it. Mjroots (talk) 21:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Is fr:Roue de carrier the article you wish to link to? Mjroots (talk) 21:37, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, I see you've worked it out, and linked back from the French article too. Good work. Mjroots (talk) 21:47, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
DYK nomination
editHi. I've nominated Treadwheel crane, an article you worked on, for consideration to appear on the Main Page as part of Wikipedia:Did you know. You can see the hook for the article here, where you can improve it if you see fit. Mjroots (talk) 07:40, 28 October 2009 (UTC) Mjroots (talk) 07:40, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Images
editI've fixed the image issue on the treadwheel page, and also the redlinks. Don't worry about being new and not being able to do everything at once. Think of Wikipedia as learning a new language. Learn a little, put it into practice, learn a little more etc. You'll find info about images and how to use them, change their position, size, etc at WP:FILE.
