Kalimba

I had one of the original creative plaything kalimbas as a child. my father had worked for creative playthings (we lived in princeton for a summer while he worked with them), and out of his work came a xylophone made up of aluminum tubes, called Xylopipes. i think he might have met Tracey, and he definitely acquired the instrument through knowing of the toy company through his work. seeing the photo of this exact model was wonderful, i remember it as clear as day. I cant document this, but i believe my father was one of the first people in the US to make small, boxlike wooden "slit drums", which are now ubiquitous. just thought id share this.
