So, I came across this MoH winner's name around the net today. The article I found skimmed content from Wikipedia, which is fine of course, but they violate the terms of licensing by not attributing from where the content comes. That aside, I read the Wikipedia entry with interest. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see who had created this article in the first place. With absolutely no surprise, I found it was you, back in 2006! You are a treasure. Thank you for your work! --Hammersoft (talk) 16:26, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

Cachi Cachi music
Hi Tony! Here for your advice. Cachi Cachi music is music played by Puerto Ricans in Hawaii, once they migrated there. Willie K sings about it. Here is Willie K's entry on wikipedia. Cachi Cachi music is mentioned in this book with a snippet on books.google I'd like to add it somewhere into Wikipedia. It's also mentioned here by the voice of a Disney character. https://www.bustle.com/articles/195738-moana-star-aulii-cravalho-is-just-as-inspiring-as-her-brilliant-disney-heroine But I'm still not sure how best to add it to Wikipedia. It doesn't seem notable enough for its own article. What do you think? Thanks in advance for your time. the eloquent peasant (talk) 02:57, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Love your article List of Hispanic Medal of Honor recipients Comment
What a nice job you did on that! And lists are particularly difficult sometimes to manage. This one, List of Hispanic and Latino Americans - for example, in my opinion is unmanageable! the eloquent peasant (talk) 13:41, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

Hello Tony
We recently crossed paths at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery which I had on my watchlist because I had visited there not long ago to get a picture of the Confederate memorial there for the List of monuments and memorials of the Confederate States of America article (an article I am taking a wikibreak from right now). I realized just now that the picture could/should be in the cemetery article so I went looking for a place to put it. It turned out that there was a Military section, and here we come to my dilemma. i could create a gallery there that would look something like this, but with captions:
My question is, do you think/feel that it is disrespectful to put a CSA memorial in with a black M o H winner and a Tuskeegee Airman? What do you think? Is there another place to put the photo? There is a gallery labeled Graves but this marker is not a grave. Do you have an opinion? Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:59, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
- Looks good. Thanks. Carptrash (talk) 21:15, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
- Having wandered further down your talk page I was reminded of a picture that I took in 1981 (I love that they used to print dates on pictures back then) at the All Peoples' Congress in Detroit. This was a Puerto Rican nationalist (?) who gave an inspired speech. Anyone you recognize? Carptrash (talk) 23:31, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
- Nope, it doesn't look like anyone whom I can recognize. Tony the Marine (talk) 02:02, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
Just checking. Sometimes these, "It's a small world after all" things hit. As I recall, this fellow was just out after a decade or two in prison. Carptrash (talk) 05:38, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- PS (I am still wandering down your interesting user page), my picture of the Clintons is not nearly as up-close-and-personal as yours. Bill Clinton presidential campaign, 1992. Carptrash (talk) 05:43, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- The picture was taken when the Clinton's showed up during a tribute that the government gave me. The funny thing is that they (the Clinton's) were staying in a the room in front of mine in the hotel. Tony the Marine (talk) 16:31, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
Question
Tony - question for you. Is there a community of interest page for USMC related topics? I wanted to post a link to this discussion on that page to get some additional thoughts. Hope all is well. Incidentally - I watched the Ken Burns series on the Vietnam War. My respect & admiration for you guys was really high before, but now even higher! Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 20:02, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
- Good question, I don't think that there is a USMC issues related page. It would be a good idea to have one. I didn't see the PBS documentary that you mentioned. I found out when it was too late. Tony the Marine (talk) 17:39, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
Greetings on this 242nd birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

Every Marine must protect it and own a piece of our success." — General Robert B. Neller, 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps
Thank you for serving.
