Mario Sonicboom
Semi-retirement
edit- Semi-retired is more like it. I just don't have it as much as I used to anymore, and my recent technical bugs that have prevented me from editing the last 2 months have shown me that.
- So is the boom heard around the world gone? Not entirely, but for the most part I'll be scarce. I'll also be on the Runescape Wiki (under a different username); I feel its quite a bit more my cup of tea, as I'm much more experienced on the topic of Runescape, and I like the freedom to go in-depth.
- I'll likely be around if I see any quirks needing fixed while researching on here; I'm a Wiki-Gnome, what can you expect ;)
- I loved being part of his project, and dang, I wish everyone all the best.
- If you want to say any goodbyes or see you arounds or "Hey! Get the heck back in here!"'s, here's the place. I'll miss you guys.

Metroid Prime 3
editThe reason I considered your edit unnecessary was because it draws attention to Nintendo Power's problems/issues rather than what the article is actually about, the game. And a milestone has already been reached: the fact that MP3 was the third game to get a perfect score over the entire magazine's print run of 19 years. Bothering to note that it's the first game to do so in the last two and a half years seems almost irrelevant in comparison. And on that note, why is the redesign in issue 193 even that important? I'd have thought (though this is equally trivial to an article not specifically about the magazine) that the upcoming production house switch would be a far more significant event. Hey
editThanks for your support on my RfA. Have you considered to include a link to your userpage in your signature? If yes, let me know so that I can guide you through the process (as it took me quite a while when I first joined Wikipedia) OhanaUnitedTalk page 19:26, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Barnstar
editThank you very much for the barnstar, it was much appreciated. :) You seem like a good editor, though perhaps you could put a link to your user or talk page in your signature? SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 20:02, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Bad singature
editI've noticed that your signature doesn't link to your user page. Normally people could see your user name even if it didn't link to it, but you added some other things before it, so it's impossible. This makes getting in touch with you harder, and I only found this page when I saw something that resembles your user name in my watch list. Please get your signature to link to your user page in any way. Litis 18:52, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Hello Mario, try this:
--Jump! Slash! Dash! Ouch! Super [[User:Mario Sonicboom|Mario Sonic]][[User_talk:Mario Sonicboom|'''BOOM!''']]
which displays as:
--Jump! Slash! Dash! Ouch! Super Mario SonicBOOM!
Except on other talk pages, the "BOOM!" will be a bold link instead of text. You can try playing around with it too (obviously, it is your signature). A few pages you could link to in the other words could be your edits, and some other pages I can't think of.
Alternatively there are color/colour options for the links, text and back grounds, Remember one thing though (actually 2): no images or templates in signatures or (alright three) categories either. If you have any other questions you could look at WP:SIG or ask at the help desk, or ask me (I won't be on until Monday at the earliest). Thank you very much for the barnstars, and if you have any more questions about changing your signature(color, linked words, etc), please ask me or someone at the help desk. I'll be online most of this week (not on the day anon page creation is enabled (Nov. 9), so you can ask me if you need to. SmileToday☺(talk to me , My edits) 03:31, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
OhanaUnited's RfA
editThanks for voting at my RfA. Unfortunately, the result stands at 51 support, 21 oppose and 7 neutral which means that I did not succeed. As many expressed their appreciation of my works in featured portals during my RfA, I will fill up the vacuum position of director in featured portal candidates to maintain the standards of featured contents in addition to my active role in Good articles. Have a great day. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:54, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Thank you
editDearest Mario Sonicboom,
Thank you for your participation in my RFA, which closed successfully with 137 supports, 22 opposes, and 5 neutrals. Your kind words of support are very much appreciated and I look forward to proving you right. I would like to give special thanks to The_undertow and Phoenix-wiki for their co-nominations. Thank you again and best regards.
Thanks for your booming support
editDear Mario Sonicboom,
Thank you for supporting in my recent RfA. Words nor pictures can express my heartfelt appreciation at the confidence the community has shown me. I am both heartened and humbled by this confidence. I will carry the lessons learned from the constructive criticism I have received with me as I edit Wikipedia, and heed those lessons. Special thanks to Pedro and Henrik as nominators. Special thanks to Rudget who wanted to. A very special thanks to Moonriddengirl for her eloquence. |
big badda boom
editI got tired of laying a lame template on pages. (Really, there were three.) So I tried to personalize. Any time. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 18:03, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
You are welcome
editMy Rfa
editMy effort to regain adminship was unsuccessful, and I'll do what I can to ensure your opinion of my suitability for adminship improves. Thank you for taking some time out of your day to voice your opinion.--MONGO 04:49, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
RfA thanks
editI'm sorry you felt so strongly that I am inexperienced to become an admin, so strongly you had to vote "Strong Oppose". I hope that by performing more edits on Wikipedia in the next few months that I could possibly change your mind by my next RfA, possibly around May 2008. Users who asked you regarding why you strongly opposed my request didn't get a response from you. I'd like to know why if you don't mind. Thanks. - Jameson L. RfA
editI am not one for sending round pretty pictures, but after my recent RfA, which passed 68/1/7, I am now relaxed and this is to thank you for your support. I will take on board all the comments made and look forward to wielding the mop with alacrity. Or two lacrities. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 21:13, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Welcome back
editNo wonder I couldn't see you hanging around Runescape in the past 2 months. Yes, I'm now an admin on en.wp and a bureaucrat at Wikispecies. Nothing dramatic happened on that article, but someone just put words into my mouth on today :( [1] OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:42, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- IP block doesn't prevent you from logging in. What's the IP range? Let me check if it prevents legitimate users like you from editing. If it is, I'll probably change the setting so that you can contribute (while keeping that vandal at bay). OhanaUnitedTalk page 17:08, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, create an alternative account (using a name that is obvious and relates back to your main account). Such practice is allowed per WP:SOCK#LEGIT. As long as your alternative account shows a link which links back to your main account, you won't get in trouble. OhanaUnitedTalk page 17:15, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's ok. Don't worry about it. It was a snowball anyways =) OhanaUnitedTalk page 00:32, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
