Melbourne meetup

edit

Greetings, person who is listed as being interested in future meetups in Melbourne. The fourth meetup will be held on 18 December, at Lower House in Fed Square (in the Alfred Deaking building, Flinders Street end near the Atrium: map), starting from 7pm. We don't currently have a separate location for discussion beforehand, but there'll be plenty of time to talk wiki over dinner. --bainer (talk) 14:55, 16 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

SARS Article in Wikipedia

edit

Mark, I do not know how familiar you are with the SARS crisis, but it was an excellent success story of collaboration among mutliple organizations during a crisis. Suprisingly the article has little on the success of the collaboration that took place and the success of the Global Public Health Intelligence Network (GPHIN) that detected the disease weeks after the outbreak (something we hopefully are learning from for other disease outbreaks). I am going to add some of this content to the article when I get the chance. Just thought I would let you know in case you may be interested. MLWilson 03:53, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

July WMAU Melbourne Meetup

edit

Hi, At last month's June meetup we discussed the idea of setting up a Training Course at a University of the Third Age (U3A) to be held in 2013 and named Becoming a Wikipedia editor. In order to get this course up and running we are calling for volunteers to help develop the idea, and either tutor part of the course, or provide one on one help to students in the class. All local Wikipedians are welcome to discuss this at our 11am meetup to be held this Sunday on 22 July. Please add your name to the attending list at Wikipedia:Meetup/Melbourne 23. Food and beverages are provided. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 02:33, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of General theory of collaboration

edit

The article General theory of collaboration has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An unsourced article that reads like a personal essay and admits its topic does not exist.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
