Spain Monarchy

Thank you! It still needs more work. I also want to add a section called "The Monarchy and the Media", and also flesh out the "Royal Family" more. I've decided to work on this page after waiting a year myself for improvements and guidence from the Spanish contributors before wanting my own questions answered. I'm basicially writting the page as my own questions on the Spanish monarchy and how it operates are generated. Though most recently I have had to take some time off as I am currently working 80 hours a week, mind is mush at the moment. hehe. I think it facinating that there is a vibrant and well respected royal family which owes its popularity to liberal democratic principles! It is interesting contrasting the Spanish monarchy and how it operates with the English or other monarchies.

Sounds great! Be sure to continue to use in text citations too, especially anything contraversal. Additionally, we have to steer clear of origional research statements or assertions, unless it is provided for in a very respected publication somewhere. Even the most benign and self-evident statement I have seen challenged to the point of the statement being removed as "origional research". Its something to be aware of at least. Commander-in-chief of the British Armed Forces

Hi - You have cited various senior appointments made by the Queen as Commander-in-Chief to "The Queens Regulations for the Army". I have checked and the Army Regulations do not mention the First Sea Lord, or the Commander Operations (Navy) or the Fleet Commander or the Chief of the Air Staff. In fact the Army Regulations do not even mention some of the Army Commanders: please can you remove this section as it seems to me to be very misleading. Best wishes. The regulations for the army state that all appointments held by officers of the rank of two stars or above must be approved by Queen. As such there is no need to remove the section on appointments because it is accurate. The section makes clear that the Her Majesty’s secretary of state for defense nominates a candidate to the queen for her approval of the appointment. Firstly I do not agree with your implication that Army Regulations must automatically be replicated by regulations for the Royal Navy and the RAF: this may or may not be true but it is synthesis (see WP:SYNTH). Secondly, while I agree that all appointments held by officers of the rank of two stars or above must be approved by Queen, this would be a very long list of officers and not just the selected few roles that you have listed. All appointments listed in the queen and military appointment section are regularly announced on the Ministry of Defense website as being made by the approval of the queen. This includes the appointments too those "two-star an above" posts in the Navy and the Air Force. Therefore, the information on appointments in this section is factual. It is in no way "misleading", as such there is no reason to remove the section in question as it is both relitive to the subject of the artical and informitive.

The Army alone has nearly 90 officers of the rank of two stars or above. You have been highly selective in which ones you have chosen and the list is unsourced. Your list implies that the 11 officers listed are the only ones appointed by the Queen. The sensible position would be to revert to the previous drafting which simply stated that officers of the rank of two stars or above are appointed by the Queen and then add a citation. Best wishes. Your plea for help elsewhere

I answered you on another editor's page. I dug deeper and found Talk:Head of the British Armed Forces#Senior appointments made by Her Majesty as Commander-in-Chief which seems to have triggered the entire thing. I have no ability to make any judgement on this matter at all, and offer no opinion on it, save for the advcie I gave on the other editor's page. I'm having a senior moment and have forgotten where that was.
