I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Deggendorf Institute of Technology, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Hello MartinaHeim. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:MartinaHeim. Update information
editWikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a webhost from which to "update" and otherwise communicate with your students. "All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." I work for the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and I'm making sure all the displayed information for students is correct and up to date. Because we have around 30% of international students at our university, I need to make sure the English wikipedia page is updated as often as necessary. I do not intend to promote our institution and I'm not receiving money to do that. My intention is to provide information about our university of applied sciences and provide correct facts in the English language. At the moment the English wikipedia page is out of date and needs urgent updates, as we have new study degrees for our international students that need to be included in the list.
Decline reason:
Telling prospective students about your university's offerings is the very definition of advertising. Your original username had "marketing" in it. You don't have to be specifically encouraging them to enroll or selling something. Any article about your university must primarily summarize what independent reliable sources state about it, not what it wants to say about itself; as such, it cannot just talk about your university's offerings. It is true that making edit requests on article talk pages is the correct thing to do, but you won't be unblocked to just tell us about your university. I believe that your requests would be declined unless you first demonstrate an understanding of Wikipedia guidelines. If you are interested in being a general contributor and contributing to Wikipedia more broadly, please tell what contributions you wish to make. I am an individual person (as stated in my user name - there's no indication in my user name to an organisation) working for the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and it is my responsibility to make sure the Wikipedia profile is up to date! We're not promoting anything on here, we're just stating facts about the university and the study degrees we offer. We don't even link them. This account runs under my individual name and not the department I'm working for, so it should be fine to edit the profile. Like you, yourself said: (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.) Our German wikipedia page runs smoothly and we were able to get verified and edit the page. Now someone put the status of the article back to 2016, which is completely outdated and provides false information about the university! - Because there's an autoblock. This user was quite properly blocked for having an inappropriate username as User talk:THDMarketing -- that would be Technische Hochschule Deggendorf, Deggendorf Institute of Technology. As stated many times, we're updating students numbers and study degrees we offer, in order to provide correct information. We would also change the information about our university's president, if that changed! These are all facts and no advertisement of any sort. All the information is from our website www.th-deg.de/en and there's no other information available, as the university publishes their own information. As far as I am concerned about Wikipedia's rules, I should still be able to REQUEST changes on the DIT wikipedia page in order for them to be published! - I know of the reason you are requesting unblock, but not why you did so under this account and not your original account. This matter should have been handled there first, but it's okay now. The other account was used for our German Wikipedia article and we've got verified on the German page in order to make appropriate edits. However, my colleague was handling that account last year and now she can't make any changes to the English talk page there anymore, as it's been too long. We were advised by someone from Wikipedia to create a new account through a direct e-mail address, as that would solve the issue of getting blocked. We're not only listing what we offer, but also the history of our university and important facts that should be displayed (like the amount of students or faculties or research areas) on Wikipedia. I am of course intending to follow the guidelines of Wikipedia.

Since the last time I logged into this account and today I was blocked again. Despite not having made any direct changes to any Wikipedia pages. I need to propose some smaller changes being made to the Deggendorf Institute of Technology page. Please cancel the block in order to request changes that are according with the Wikipedia rules.
