Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to The parables of peter. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write practically anything you want. The parables of Peter, and what I can do for you

edit

Hi there Mashfield, and thank you for the comment you left on my talkpage. I am replying here rather than on my page, because that makes it easier to know that a comment is made in this discussion. The article on The poem of Peter is not suited for Wikipedia, according to our criteria for inclusion (take a look at WP:N, our general notability guideline for more details). Still, you put a lot of effort into it, and it would be a shame to let it go to waste. I'll restore the article in your own namespace, so your effort is not lost. I'll drop a link there, as soon as I have restored it. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 17:51, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

It has been restored here: User:Mashfield/The parables of peter. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 17:54, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thankyou, but what do you mean, "not suited for wikipedia"? Mashfield.

We only inclued topics that are notable and verifiable. That means it is only covered on Wikipedia when there are independent reliable sources on the subject, that verify it. By the looks of it, your article is probably never going to make that grade, unless the poem gets covered in the mainstream press, which I just don't see happening anytime soon. If it does happen, you are free to restore the article, provided you can show where it is covered. The criteria are quite strict, you can read something on it on for example WP:RS. If you want more advice, let me know, or drop a {{helpme}} template here. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:14, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you once again, and i was just wondering whether you could help with the layout of the page because im having some trouble at the moment? Mashfield

Don't worry anymore, I've finished editing now, thank you for restoring it. you have no idea how relieving this is. Mashfield.

I'm glad I was able to help. As a note, you can sign your notes on talkpages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~ Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 18:56, 17 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
