Speedy deletion of Lloyd luna
editA tag has been placed on Lloyd luna, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. §FreeRangeFrog 05:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
The article was deleted because it was written like a promotional piece. At Wikipedia, all articles need to have a neutral point of view, so text like "He is the best-selling author of a phenomenal book on career and personal development Is There A Job Waiting For You?, which has sold more than 30,000 copies. Today, Luna is one of the most-celebated and most sought-after motivational speaker brought about by his charismatic approach and charming personality." is completely unacceptable.
I would suggest re-writing the article in your userspace (let me know if you need help with this), concentrating on keeping the article unbiased and making specific and verifiable claims to notability (ie. cite sources indicating his books have appeared on Filipino best-seller lists, that he has given commencement addresses, that he was a newspaper columnist).
Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, or if you need help with the wording of the article. caknuck ° is a silly pudding 16:48, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
