Speedy deletion nomination of Brian Kolins
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Brian Kolins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. - MrX 19:33, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Your request for undeletion
editHello. This message is being sent to inform you that a response has been made at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion regarding a submission you made. The thread is Brian Kolins. JohnCD (talk) 19:05, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
- I noticed your comments made concerning your rejected request to have Brian Kolins undeleted.[1] It is generally not a good idea to write an article about yourself. All biographical articles must meet the notability guidelines to be included in Wikipedia. If a person is truly notable, then it is likely that someone else will start a biographical article about that person, so there should be no need to create an article about yourself. There may be existing articles which have been written about people who do not meet the the notability requirements, and such articles may be tagged for deletion by following the proposed deletion procedure. There are many policies and procedures that editors must follow, and I think you will find them easier to understand and follow after you have spent more time editing to improve articles which have already been created. I hope this helps to explain things, and welcome to Wikipedia! Dolovis (talk) 15:54, 26 November 2013 (UTC)
