Speedy deletion of Ballships

A tag has been placed on Ballships requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. per your not on my talk page, I did not delete Ballships: I tagged it for possible deletion, then someone else actually deleted it having agreed with me. Please read the definition of notability and also the policy that says you can't make stuff up and put it on wikipedia.Thanks, TrulyBlue (talk) 16:10, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

The original rules of Ballship

Ballships is a drinking/pool game which was originally conceived on Saturday, February 2 2008 at Bone Bash III. It is similar to the pool game cutthroat but combines elements of common drinking games and other pool games.

Origin

After a wild night of drunken debauchery at the Bone Bash preparty, the residents awoke to find an almost full keg remaining which needed to be consumed before the Bone Bash began that night. Immediately, all present began to fill their cups with beer and start the morning off right - liquid bread was the day's breakfast. It started off quietly enough, leftover 5-star pizza was demolished and many sat in a drunken haze watching TV. Nursing their hangovers, some participants still drunk, the bone bash faithful began to play pool. Unsatisfied with a traditional pool game which would not include enough participants and combine beer drinking, they started looking for ideas for a game. One of the attendees nicknamed African, suggested a game which he had played in his youth back in South Africa. Players would reach into a hat and draw a number, that number would become their ball and they would keep this secret and attempt to protect their ball while others took turns sinking balls. The game started off well enough, but lacked the element of drinking. Players began to demand that when a participant's ball was sunk that they had to chug their beer. History was made when upon a ball sinking, an angry player yelled the infamous words "you sunk my ballship!", referencing the common Battleship boardgame.

Rules

In order to play, a minimum of four players, a pool table, and a copious supply of beers are required. A maximum of eight players can play at one time.

Small pieces of paper are divided up into 16 pieces and labeled 1 through 15 corresponding to the 15 pool balls, the final piece is labeled C for the cue ball. The pieces of paper are folded up and put into a hat. Players reach into the hat (preferably neon colored) and pick a number which they keep secret. This is their "ballship". The object of the game is to protect your "ballship" while attempting to sink other ballships and civilians. Civilians are balls which are not ballships, ie. they belong to no one.
