I notice that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.

I've sorted out the small confusion at Shirt's talk page. You quite correctly added your new comment at the bottom, the only problem was that you didn't at first give it a header, then you added your header to replace the header of the short message just above yours. A simpler way to add a new message to a talk page is to click the "New section" tab at the top, which gets you a form for the message with a box for the header, and automatically puts it in the right place at the bottom of the page. Hi I've spent some time reading some of the pages that offer advice to newguys like myself, but i can't seem to find how to "save as draft".

There was no info on iriscopes in wikipedia before, and i feel there is a need for some good quality info to help people understand iriscopes better.

I'm writing a page on iriscopes, but there is the potential for COI as one of my business projects is selling iriscopes. To avoid any problems and the deletion of my text and edits i make, i'd like to "save changes as draft" in a way that invites objective eyes to check what i do.

Is the Sandbox the draft area? (i just read that the sandbox is "like a cat litter and gets clear regularly" and i don't want my work to be cleared, i want it saved safely in a draft folder nobody can delete, but can comment and offer advice... i hope that makes sense...)

{{help me}} HelpMe : I'm messing up the page that is on the live site i think and i'm messing it up - (trying to add some old photos - public domain photos) It would be great to get some help on how to creat draft page where others can verify before going live... at least untill i get better with understanding how wikipedia works. Thank you

I have moved the article to User talk:Matthewdhaemer/Iriscope, a subpage of your userspace. When you are ready to go live, use the move button to do so. Meanwhile I have made a bunch of tweaks, including adding a citation to hopefully act as an example for you for future citations. Please see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. Regarding the image gallery, I have placed the code in the normal format but the reason no images will display is because you are using the names of images files that as far as I can tell, do not exist. In order for the gallery to work, you have to upload the images, and if they are public domain as you think, they should be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. I am going to post below a standard template that provides advice on images which provides more on this, as well as other matters, some of which won't be relevant, but the good bits I hope will help.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 09:16, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

• If you want to upload an image from your computer for use in an article, you must determine the proper license of the image (or whether it is in the public domain). If you know the image is public domain or copyrighted but under a suitable free-license, upload it to the Wikimedia Commons instead of here, so that all projects have access to the image (sign up). If you are unsure of the licensing status, see the file upload wizard for more information. Please also read Wikipedia's image use policy.
• If you want to add an image that has already been uploaded to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons, add [[File:File name.jpg|thumb|Caption text.]] to the area of the article where you want the image to appear – replacing File name.jpg with the actual file name of the image, and Caption text with a short description of the image. See our picture tutorial for more information. I hope this helps.

As you no doubt already know, I'm on the other side of the world from you, and when you sent messages to me, I was most likely fast asleep. I'm just about to send off thank-you notes to the Wikipedia administrators who helped you out.
A little thing - have a look at the Iridology article. Please do be aware that this field of alternate medicine is somewhat contentious. You can count on me as an ally if there there are attacks on you personally. As for alternative medicine, whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.

Thank you Fuhghettaboutit and Shirt58... i've been reading all the links you're giving me and taking in as much as possible  :-)

Yes indeed iridology is still not accepted my the medical field, unfortunatly far too often, those that are critical know little about it and have closed minded approach and this closes any open and objective discussion... this was the same for osteopaths a few years ago and slowly they started gaining more acceptance. Here in France osteopaths have only recently been officially accepted in the allopathic health field... It's human nature to fear and mistrust what one does not understand.

I wrote this paragraph a few weeks ago : Iridology is often misunderstood and thus misused by some practitioners and criticised by others. Take for example mammograms (taking an x-ray of the breast in order to try and detect cancerous growths within the breast tissue) there are many false positives and false negatives. But nevertheless using mammograms does reveal information that is useful to a trained doctor, it doesn't say for certain whether a person has a cancerous growth but it does give useful clues and thus helps in the detection process. No one can say that mammograms are totally accurate, but it would also be false to say that they are useless. The important question to ask is: how can it be used effectively?

I am however in agreement with those that are critical in an open minded way, as more research is needed... I have background in science and engineering and i like things to be thorough... but thorough with an open mind. (In fact my business was setup to generated funds to setup a large iridology reasearch project). Anyway i'll stop babeling :-) ... Maybe i shall add some text to the iridology page
