I am unsure why this has been rejected - it is to the same level as already published people, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jenny_Slaughter who Thomas has worked with. The article meets academic criteria 1, but I understand this can be debated. What can't be debated is criteria 2, where Thomas has won the internationally prestigious Morton Medal, which has been linked with an external independent reliable source.
