Hey, feel free to tag it as A7. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 20:23, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
While the article will probably be deleted, though most likely though an AfD, I think it's worth noting that the article hardly qualifies as vandalism. In the future, I'd take the articles that fall between the cracks of speedy deletion to AfD; that's what it's there for. Thanks, Leo 08:00, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- Roger, I almost put it up for a prod (which would have become an AFD since he's contesting) but narrowly decided against it. Thanks for the advice. Mauler90 talk 09:04, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- I also changed the rationale a bit as vandalism is definitely too strong. [1] Mauler90 talk 09:07, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks for notifying me. Leo 09:09, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
AFD
No, I was recommending a speedy close, not making one. If I was closing it, I would've used the normal closing admin template business. Steven Walling 06:11, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
the x factor fansite
Dear Mauler90, is there some type of value a wikipedia user earns by nominating speedy deletion. It in my opinion is being VERY abused. What is the benefit to you, to suggest it? There must be a benefit, otherwise people like yourself would have no justification to tag articles so quickly. Robtencer (talk)
- What we get is a better-referenced encyclopedia with less unsourced info that disparages people. — Jeff G. ツ 02:39, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict × 2)No there is not. And as I stated on your talk page it is not up for speedy deletion, you have 7 days to make any changes you want before a decision will be made on it. Mauler90 talk 02:40, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Mauler90, if an admin removes the site before 7 days are they violating wikipedia protocol? Is that a good definition of cyber bullying and vandalism? Because I have been bullied and vandalized several times the past couple days by admins. Your discussion is proof you are not one of them. Thank You!--Robtencer (talk) 02:43, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- AFD's are rarely closed before 7 days have passed, however if it had been nominated for speedy deletion it could have been deleted at any time. This is what appears to have happened to several of your previous articles. Mauler90 talk 02:47, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Media Coverage for thexfactor.com fan site Thexfactor.com has emails from BBC, and other major media outlets, that reach out to the fan site, and request the fan site posts articles, links and other publicity for their shows, interviews with x factor contestants, and requests for information about stories posted. How do I post the emails? as scanned PDF? Should I have posted this on the deletion discussion page or here? Can you repost it to the proper place if need be? Also does this help my cause?--Robtencer (talk) 02:54, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- I would post that question over at the help desk, file work is not really something I am that familiar with. Mauler90 talk 02:57, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
Just wanted to say thanks for your comments on WP:RPP- you saved me a few minutes, which doesn't seem like much, but it's time I can spend dealing with other requests, so thanks. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 08:20, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Not a problem, that was my intention :) Since you found it helpful I'll go ahead and keep doing it. I've noticed there often seem to be backlogs at RFPP and UAA so I like to see what I can do to help clear them. Mauler90 talk 08:24, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- RPP gets chronically backlogged, so non-admin comments like yours are very much appreciated, especially when it gets busy- it means admins can quickly find the ones that need protecting. Thanks again, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 08:43, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
The fanclub editor is at it again. The latest version is pure puff, with no sources at all. I think pure copyvio too. I am uncomfortable constantly reverting to "my" version. Maybe you could take a look. Thanks, Aymatth2 (talk) 19:39, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like HJ Mitchell has reverted the edit and added the pending changes protection, I'll add it to my watchlist though. Mauler90 talk 21:21, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I did a series of articles on Nigerian politicians for some reason, completely relying on sources because I don't know anything about them. Some attracted attack edits but more attracted whitewash edits. This one seems to have attracted both at the same time! Sort of depressing in a way. If a fairly respectable newspaper article said that, that is what it said. There is no way to change what was said, but they keep on trying. :~( Aymatth2 (talk) 23:19, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Signature
It's of course up to you, but I notice that your signature is... rather light on my browser. You may be interested in changing it to a slightly darker shade, so that people can see what you are contributing to discussions. Just a suggestion. ;) ceranthor 02:37, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've messed with it a bit now, should be easier to see. This one is also supposed to be a color supported by all browsers so shouldn't be much of a problem. What browser do you use by the way? Mauler90 talk 03:01, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Firefox. I can see it, the problem is that it's [sometimes] annoyingly bright. Sorry if I was being a pain or anything, it's just that I wanted to know who the person was! ;) ceranthor 12:50, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- The old sig was very faint on my Toshiba laptop (IE7). The computer downstairs gives a different result. Thanks for the fix-up. --Diannaa (Talk) 16:12, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Fastest draw in the west
Wow, you are quick. I was talling FTowr about the topic on the admin page requesting an unblock for me. When I was done typing you had already dealt with the matter....where I had left a message to attract attention only minutes before...Fastest draw in the west I think! --Faust (talk) 21:18, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Nah, just happened to check my watchlist right after you posted ;) Mauler90 talk 21:20, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for nabbing that typo in my subpage correction. I agree with above, you are fast! QFL 24-7 bla ¤ cntrb ¤ kids ¤ pics ¤ vids 22:48, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Deleted article
Hi! Sorry 'bout the bad timing, but one look at that "article" made it clear that it was vandalism. It also turned out to be garbage posted by a hard-banned vandal. So, I made it go away. :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:26, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- Not a problem by me, I had it up for CSD, he removed it and another user (who presumably didn't see the removal) tagged for AFD. Mauler90 talk 00:27, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
