Can you be a bit more polite than to go around writing "ignorant solecism" in edit boxes? A little Wikilove goes a long way, and not all our editors have English as a first language. (BTW, "comprised of" is definition 8c in the OED, and is not labeled as substandard in any way.)--Prosfilaes 21:44, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
Barnstar
editThe Minor Barnstar | ||
For your abiding efforts to remedy grammatical and syntactic errors, I happily present you this barnstar; even as many of your edits may, individually, be minor, the import of those edits and the sum of your contributions surely aren't. Joe 16:20, 19 May 2006 (UTC) |
(I intended simply to leave you a message apropos of your good work, but I decided you deserved a barnstar when I read the note supra; anyone who works to vanquish the horrid comprised of locution is altogether fine in my book.) Joe 16:20, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Apology
editIt was pointed out on Talk:Main Page#Coronated or crowned? that I somehow "chastised" you "like an infant". Not sure why anyone would say that. I didn't. I had no such intent. I was just pointing out that the problem was fixed and suggested a way to view the fixed version of the Main Page. If you feel "chastised" in any way, I apologise. -- 64.229.7.39 20:24, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. March 2019
editHello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Len Bahr, from its old location at User:MauriceJFox3/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Sam Sailor 06:42, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation: Len Bahr (March 31)
edit- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Len Bahr and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you now believe the draft cannot meet Wikipedia's standards or do not wish to progress it further, you may request deletion. Please go to Draft:Len Bahr, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window, add "{{db-self}}" at the top of the draft text and click the blue "publish changes" button to save this edit.
- If you do not make any further changes to your draft, in 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and will be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
Hello, MauriceJFox3!
