Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Mavinhealthhistory", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company". If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 17:42, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Skywatercher68, thanks for taking an interest in my username. I don't believe it violates Wikipedia policy . I constructed the username having read all the help information and policies. My username is three words mavin (a synonym) and health history - the subject areas I'm interested in . Thank you. Mavinhealthhistory (talk) 16:33, 12 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for contributing to the article Royal Northern Hospital. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding more sources to the article you edited, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the claims (see here for how to do inline referencing). If you need further help, you can look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse, or just ask me. Thank you. Dormskirk (talk) 19:04, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Good afternoon @Dormskirk , thanks for noticing my edits . I think for each of my edits I have added a verifiable , reliable , inline citation. These citations are to the published history of the hospital by E.C.O Jewesbury . Dr Jewesbury was consultant neurologist at the hospital 1948-1976 and wrote the official history of the hospital on its centenary (1956) - see his biography on the Royal College of Physicians web site Eric Charles Oliphant Jewesbury | RCP Museum (rcplondon.ac.uk).. Please let me know the detail of what you think I have edited without citing a verifiable reliable source and I will amend. Thanks Mavinhealthhistory (talk) 16:41, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi - It was the article on the Royal Northern Hospital which was missing a reference. I have added one and I think it is fine now. Best wishes, Dormskirk (talk) 16:48, 2 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Spelling

edit

Hi. I hope you do not mind a gentle reminder that in HMSO the S is for Stationery, with an E and related to paper and pens, rather than Stationary with an A and somewhat immobile. Hope this helps. With all good wishes DBaK (talk) 23:51, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Oops - an embarrassingly public spelling error ... thanks for the correction. Mavinhealthhistory (talk) 07:04, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hahah whoops – don't worry, I won't mention it down the pub or anything. Thank you for the nice reply and cheers DBaK (talk) 07:27, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mavinhealthhistory. Thank you for your work on Katherine McCall Anderson. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for adding this page for a highly-decorated military matron; there can't have been many holders of the Royal Red Cross with Bar!

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Your biographies of nurses

edit

Hi there, Mavinhealthhistory, and thank you for creating four informative biographies of British nurses. It seems to me you would be a useful member of WikiProject Women in Red where we are trying to improve coverage of women on the English Wikipedia. You can join by signing up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:33, 25 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
