Hi there. I just noticed this suggestion and then I looked at your contributions and noticed that you're fairly new around here. I wanted to make sure you know that you're more than welcome to make all the edits you want (as long as they're not destructive or disruptive, of course) and you don't have to ask others to do it. I'm about to go make the edit you suggested... you're absolutely right about it!... but I just wanted to say hi and encourage you to jump right in any time you want. (Copied here for reference) I appreciate your kind words of encouragement; however, regarding the article in question (Dr. Seuss), when I went to edit it, I found it locked. I'm not sure if I'm too new to be accorded the privilege of editing certain high-profile articles or whether that article was simply frozen (if the latter is the case, it's still frozen), but in either case I wasn't able and am not able to make changes to it. Hi there. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I just wanted to let you know, in case you haven't figured it out already, that the reason you couldn't edit the Dr. Seuss article is that it was (and still is, and probably will remain indefinitely) semi-protected. You can tell when this is the case because there's a silver padlock at the top right corner of the article space, right across from the title. (Other colors of padlocks denote different types of protection; you can look here if you're interested in learning more about it.)

Anyway, about semi-protection: It means that the article can only be edited by autoconfirmed users, which (for most people; there are rare exceptions) basically means those who have been registered for more at least 4 days and have made at least 10 edits. My understanding is that the edits can be of any type; I don't think there's any restriction that they have to be mainspace (article) edits. And that brings me to my main point (finally!). You've been here far more than 4 days, and I just had a look at your contributions and it looks like you made your 10th edit yesterday. So congratulations! If my calculations are correct, it looks like you can most likely edit just about anything you want to edit now.
