Photo sizes

edit

Sorry that my changing your photo sizes in one article was so upsetting to you. It's possible that the policy has changed over time to prefer a larger size--policies sometimes do. But the big argument for not specifying a size in general was that doing so precluded the ability to have and make use of a default setting and be able to adjust it over time if it seemed necessary to do so or to allow users to set preferences for image sizes. I could've just said "see all other dog breed articles"--the breed-info template includes a photo at 250px but almost everything else is left at the default thumb size. It's true that almost all photos look nicer at a much larger size, but in conceding to allowing the default settings to adjust and to users with smaller screen sizes, I think the current default size is fine, especially since user can always click on thumb icon and see the much larger size anyway. KTVX

edit

You have received this message because you have edited a Salt Lake City media article in the past. We have recently had an edit war regarding the wording and inclusion of a paragraph on the KTVX article. In hopes of resolving this I have put together an informal survey. If you are interested, please stop by Talk:KTVX and add a vote. Thanks, A 09:42, 7 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
