Bullying from User:Braaad

Hello,

If Braaad continues to try to push you around, please let me know on my user talk page. I do not care if he (or she) is correct, because I want what is correct to be placed in the article. However, he or she has absolutely no right to try to tell you to keep your comments to yourself. I will watch Braaad to make sure that he or she doesn't continue to make personal attacks.

I think that assuming he will use the accounts as sock puppets fails to assume good faith, and you should know better than that. Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. piper cub series box

Just wanted to let you know that I've converted it from a table and cleaned it up a bit regarding layout. Hope you're fine with it - I think this way it has more similarity to the default style, but still stands out and emphasizes the diversity of the series.

Roadmap looks good, although I'd suggest concentrating on a single list article for the minor models (the various Taylor and Piper -2 versions) and full articles for the more prominent variants. I'm ambivalent about the page move, although it seems like a fine idea. By 'single F-2', though, do you mean only one was built, and that the only difference was the engine? If that's the case, it doesn't deserve a standalone article.
Regarding the size of the box - you could resize the box, sure (just add width: (x)px; to the style="" section), but if you're going to include it in the designation sequence portion of the related content footer, I think it should remain left-aligned. ericg 01:11, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

SVG vs. PNG

I am vaguely aware of the debate about svg images vs. png images, although my technical skills are not really sufficient to have much of an opinion either way. However, I'm not sure that the image copyright template is the best place for such a note, and I'm certain that I cannot add one without a bit more evidence for a consensus on Wikipedia. Civility with Uncivil Users

Please reread WP:CIVIL and other Wikipedia policies on the importance of being civil to uncivil users. User:Braaad posted an unsigned message to a Wikipedia talk page saying that your threats are scaring him. In looking at the details, I could see a long pattern of uncivil behavior by Braaad, and no evidence of incivility or threats by User:McNeight. I endorsed the RfC that you and User:Linuxbeak wrote against Braaad. I posted a query on Braaad's talk page asking what he meant. He did provide me with a response. You told him that if he couldn't try to understand Wikipedia policies, he should "get the fuck out". That was uncivil. Please keep cool when others are uncool.

If he does not change his behavior, it is unfortunate but likely that he will be taken to the ArbCom. If that happens, Braaad may be banned, and you may be given a warning about incivility.

We're hosting a focus group designed to gather information on what Wikipedians would like to know about each other when interacting on Wikipedia. Back around the middle of April I believe you deleted an external link in the Cessna 172 page as linkspam. Rather than do it unilaterally, you should have opened a new discussion about it in the article's discussion page. Had you looked there you would have seen that this link had already been discussed before it was originally added. Because it provided significant information (type data for every year/model of Cessna 172) the concensus was to include it. I'd like to give you the courtesy of reinstating the link yourself.  Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.   • After over a decade of silence, the WikiProject Aviation newsletter is making a comeback under the name The WikiEagle. This first issue was sent to all active members of the project and its sub-projects. If you wish to continue receiving The WikiEagle, you can add your username to the mailing list. For now the newsletter only covers general project news and is run by only one editor. If you wish to help or to become a columnist, please let us know. If you have an idea which you believe would improve the newsletter, please share it; suggestions are welcome and encouraged.
  • On 16 December, an RfC was closed which determined theaerodrome.com to be an unreliable source. The website, which is cited over 1,500 articles, mainly on WWI aviation, as of the publishing of this issue.
  • Luft46.com has been added to the list of problematic sources after this discussion.
  • The Jim Lovell article was promoted to Featured Article status on 26 December after being nominated by Hawkeye7.
  • The Raymond Hesselyn article was promoted to Good Article status on 4 December after being nominated by Zawed.
  • The Supermarine Sea King article was promoted to Good Article status on 22 December after being nominated by Amitchell125.
  • The William Hodgson (RAF officer) article was promoted to Good Article status on 26 December after being nominated by Zawed.
