Hello, Mccalld2, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Elysia and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Editing high quality articles

edit

Hi, I noticed that you assigned yourself Redback spider. This article is what we call a "Featured Article"--it has been through an extensive peer review process and passed, which is indicated by the small bronze star in the upper right corner. High quality articles can be especially difficult for new editors to work on, especially featured articles. I strongly encourage you to select a different article to work on. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:22, 21 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
