I would suggest taking it to the talk page for the article. --Erp (talk) 14:51, 10 March 2018 (UTC)--Erp (talk) 14:51, 10 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
I saw your message on I dream of horses talk page. Your intentions might be good, but, the method was a bit like poking a stick in a hornet's nest given the controversial nature of the entry. As far as "replacing man with male, woman with female" I will note that some of the changes were in the wording of the charges which is where the original language should be kept (a bit like quotes normally aren't modified [and certainly not without a note indicating that]). They should not be changed unless someone didn't copy them correctly. I will note lots of articles do need the eye of someone who can fix the English (many are inexpertly translated from another language). You might want to look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Articles_needing_cleanup for such articles. --Erp (talk) 05:17, 12 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Mdaub. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article People v. Turner, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Chaheel Riens (talk) 05:40, 11 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Editing while logged out?

edit

Are you 2601:647:4E02:4652:A93B:A85E:2725:828F editing while logged out? There is evidence that you might be: Their editing history shows that they've made (so far) 6 edits, 5 of which have been to add info to the People v. Turner article, where you are currently attempting to add similar info - and also a single edit to Motion in limine - another area that you show interest in.

I notice that Michele Dauber is currently professor at Stanford in California and lives in Palo Alto - which is less than 10 miles away from where the IP address geolocates to.

Be aware that intentionally editing while logged out in order to hide your identity is not acceptable on Wikipedia.

This post is essentially the same as the one on the IP talk page. Edited for clarity. Chaheel Riens (talk) 09:24, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm not Michele Dauber. I'm Mike Daubert. Just look at the information you have cut out that I added...resource data. I will no longer waste time here. Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Mdaub (talkcontribs) 17:30, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
