You don't say what the band was, but if the reason for deletion was copyright violation, by all means submit an article written in your own words. Read WP:Your first article for advice, and note particularly that references are required, to verify what the article says, and to show how the band are notable to the standard of WP:BAND. Take care not to write in a promotional style - this is an encyclopedia, not a fan-site.

I suggest you use the WP:Article wizard to guide you through the process. That will give you the option to submit a draft to WP:Articles for creation, where an experienced user will review it and either accept it or give you feedback. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:08, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
