I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

Image Tagging for Image:Seal of Hempstead.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Seal of Hempstead.gif. However, the copyright tag you've used is deprecated or obsolete, and should not be used. This could be because the tag is inaccurate or misleading, or because it does not adequately specify the copyright status of the image. For a list of copyright tags that are in current use, see the "Public domain", "Free license", and "Fair use" sections of Wikipedia:Image copyright tags.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:29, 28 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for editing the Foxwoods entry. If the Sands Casino worshipers manage to preserve their claim as it stands now, I think we've found a peaceful solution to this. Good work! VietGrant 09:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

LIRR zones

edit

You suggested on Talk:Long Island Rail Road that I add zones to the map. Do you have a list of the zones, preferably on the LIRR's website? --NE2 19:36, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the link; you should have added it to my talk page though. --NE2 23:07, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately, I can't find any references that these are officially used. Adding them to the map might be original research. --NE2 23:12, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I found it: [1] --NE2 23:15, 21 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, the map now has zones. --NE2 00:17, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
