Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! editHello, I'm Dl2000. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Mei Matsuoka, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Dl2000 (talk) 20:47, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear DI2000 I am sorry, I am new to editing on Wikipedia and was unsure of what is required for certain changes. I am the actual person (Mei Matsuoka) so if you could tell me what it is that you need in the form of evidence and for which changes, I will provide it as best as I can. Please could you reinstate the edits as it took me a while to make them? Thank you very much in advance. Meiski81 (talk) 11:46, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
=Conflict of interest policy
editSince you identify as the article's subject, you need to be aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy which affects how you can edit articles. Please review this policy (WP:COI) first before trying to make further edits. After that, we will need some sources and justification before we can consider reinstate any edits. Hope this explains the situation. Dl2000 (talk) 13:13, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
