Classmate Introductions
editHello Melchesnutis, I'm SheaMcbubble. I am also Brittany Fikes in the Women: Self and Society class we are both in. I like the training on Wikipedia so far. What do you think about it?--SheaMcbubble (talk) 23:16, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
Classmate Introductions
editHi Melchesnutis, I'm Shalene Walton from Women, Self, and Society. I'm super confused on what to do so hopefully I'm doing this correctly. SWalton (talk) 05:39, 4 November 2017 (UTC) SWalton (talk) 05:39, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
"Article evaluation"
editI think that after reading some of the articles you get a feel for what is good and what needs work. For the Women's Studies article it needed work, there was so much conversation on the "talk" page about needing more reliable sources and citations and that's something I first noticed as well. Some of the links on this page took you to a site but that site seemed to have many issues with the reliability as well. For the Sexism article I think they could've used more recent pictures instead of some of the ones they did, but overall you could tell it was a strong article with lots of information. In the Exploitation of Women in the Mass Media you got to see a lot of good information with strong points, but the topless photos were a little much and unnecessary in my opinion. I found those photos to distract from the point they were trying to get across. The Exploitation of Women in the Mass Media and Women's Studies articles needed a lot of work and had lots of discussion and edits on the talk page. The Sexism article had some, but nothing compared to the other two articles. Melchesnutis (talk) 22:48, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
