Agreed. Can you tell us more about the photo shoot? The implication is that the picture is one that you took yourself. I just want to make sure it's tagged correctly; it looks rather professional. —C.Fred (talk) 20:39, 19 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am indeed the photographer and rightful owner of this image. It is part of a photo shoot I did for the subject's personal website. I have added my photo credit to the image. Hope that works. So I can correct the license information on the image's page, are you releasing the image under the GFDL, a Creative Commons license, or into the public domain outright? Note that the former two allow you to retain copyright over the image but do basically allow unlimited (or I think there's an unlimited-with-credit-given option) use of the image. —C.Fred (talk) 15:41, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Since there is also a low-res. duplicate of this image (named Maryscott_OConnor.jpg), please use that one instead (and delete the larger Maryscott O'Connor.jpg). I do hereby release Maryscott_OConnor.jpg under a Creative Commons licence. Thanks! Edited to add: Oops, it seems the lower-res. version is already gone. If it's not retrivable, please delete this image too, and I will start afresh by uploading the lower-res version again. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.89.196.18 (talkcontribs) 05:44, 23 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

When you're logged in to upload the newer low-res image, please note in the description that you have rights to it and that it's under a Creative Commons license. (Ideally, go ahead and and the desired template for the licenses.) That may be the easiest thing to do: just upload the image in the size you want, put the license information in there, and then we can delete the straggler. —C.Fred (talk) 22:51, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sounds good, will do. Please go ahead and delete both images and I'll start from scratch. Thanks for your help! :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Melroseplace (talkcontribs) 11:28, 25 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

Based on your request, I have tagged the image for speedy deletion and referenced this discussion.C.Fred (talk) 23:13, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
The speedy was not completed before the new image was uploaded; I deleted the speedy tag accordingly. —C.Fred (talk) 23:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have now uploaded a new version, also named Maryscott O'Connor.jpg, to overwrite the previous version. I also added the requested info. Hopefully we should now be set. Thanks again! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Melroseplace (talkcontribs) 11:06, 26 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

I have applied the {{cc-by-2.5}} template to the image to alert other editors that it is released under a Creative Commons license. I used the highest-numbered license by default; please indicate if that was not the one you intended. —C.Fred (talk) 23:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading Image:Maryscott OConnor.jpg. That image is now tagged for speedy deletion, since it is a duplicate, in lower resolution, of Image:Maryscott O'Connor.jpg.
Before uploading future images, could you also correct the images you have already uploaded? Image:Maryscott O'Connor.jpg is still slated for deletion because it lacks source and creator information. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 13:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
