Article draft

@Menace55 and Catsdwa: I have returned your draft to your sandbox. The article you created was not appropriate for mainspace for several reasons

• It includes notes like We (Catsdwa and Menace55) Plan to focus on Abraham Lincoln Lewis' (A.L. Lewis) life. That shouldn't be in a live Wikipedia article
• The article title History of American Beach and A.L Lewis doesn't meet Wikipedia's naming convention. Articles are supposed to be about a single thing; generally you should be able to write an opening sentence that start with the article title and says what the article is about in a single sentence. The history of American Beach and A.L Lewis is... doesn't work as a sentence, which is a good indicator that it might not be a viable article title.
• Your lead section needs to summarize all the major points of an article. Your lead begins {{tq|In 1935, the era of Jim Crow and segregation was at its peak but that did not stop young Abraham Lincoln Lewis from fulfilling his duty to help his people with the power that he had being a successful African American man during the era of Jim Crow}]. This has a few problems
  • It doesn't seem to be a summary of the article
  • It includes a lot of phrasing that isn't appropriate to an encyclopedia article like but that did not stop young Abraham Lincoln Lewis from fulfilling his duty. This is a statement of opinion ("fulfilling his duty") not a simple, "just the facts" representation of what reliable sources say about the topic.
• Since the American Beach, Florida article is very short, and the Abraham Lincoln Lewis article has an empty biography section, it would be much more helpful to expand those articles instead of creating a new one. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:07, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Thank you so much for your help. I did not realize that the "move" button would push the entire sandbox. That wasn't meant to be pushed to the main space. Sorry for the trouble.
