Exceptions should be made when a way to formally word something is unclear or unavailable. I've tried to figure out how to formally word the phrase "make out" when writing plot synopses for episodes of The Real World, but there is no formal wording for that activity that I could think of that wasn't either inaccurate, or which sounded pedantic or overly technical.

No exception, however, it needed for "Raising the Bar", since there are plenty of ways to formally describe what Obama did to Cartman, which is precisely what I did before you changed it: She beat him up. Unless there was something inaccurate or inappropriate about that wording, changing it to She beat the crap out of him was inappropriate. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 13:09, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I'm familiar with comics, which you can see here and here, and gathered you were a Deadpool fan from your username. But it never occurred to me to excessive use of the typograhical symbol could be used as a reference to the projectile. Kinda obscure, but hey, to each his own.
