  Hello, I'm Tridwoxi. I noticed that you recently removed content from Rooster Teeth without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~ Tridwoxi (talk) (contribs) 00:53, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I was trying to edit the bit with the date (so that it stated 17 years ago instead of 16, considering how the company was apparently established in 2003. Was trying to be correct.) and I couldn't tell where it was from the mass of text. I took away the big chunk of text just to see if I could easily find it that way (I was going to revert it afterwards). Messagesgalour (talk) 00:59, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Messagesgalour: Thanks for your help. I'd like to note that that date is actually generated by a template, which automatically updates itself. The reason the template says the company was founded 16 years ago is that it was founded in April, so it is not quite 17 years yet, though it will be soon. For further reference, the section that generates the date looks like this:

| foundation = {{start date and age |2003|4|1}}

Again, thanks for pointing this out, ans welcome to Wikipedia! Dont worry about the template syntax. It's less complicated than it looks, and one can get used to them pretty fast. I also did not know how to use templates as a newer editor, even more so one like this ~ Tridwoxi (talk) (contribs) 01:15, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, it seems to be going by the day and not by the year. In all actuality, the company was founded 17 years ago and seeing the "16 years ago" is quite out-of-place. So the template is only going by when it was established (day and month) like how birthdays work, instead of what year it was established? It isn't the first time I have seen this happen. So it will update itself once it hits that "birthday"? Messagesgalour (talk) 10:00, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Messagesgalour: You are correct. I hope you enjoy your time here with us being a Wikipedian! ~ Tridwoxi (talk) (contribs) 11:12, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oh, good to know! OK, I'll leave that alone, especially since it was certainly a messy job. And thanks! Messagesgalour (talk) 11:50, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

You’re welcome! I’m happy to help. ~ Tridwoxi (talk) (contribs) 12:10, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Additional guides

edit

Hi Messagesgalour, you may find some of below guides helpful. Also, if I am trying to find information about editing, etc., I use the Wikipedia search box and search starting with WP:. For example, WP:template brings up a few pages about templates. If you are searching for a Manual of Style guide, use MOS:, example searching MOS:date brings up pages related to date format guides.

Thank you for your contributions! S0091 (talk) 14:01, 22 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Stop It!

edit

DVdm, stop mithering me (which might be harassing at this point). I'm just trying to do me bit in a positive manner and you are attached to me like a leech. Stop abusing your position.

I see I was blocked unethically. This is what I hate: children with power.

However, at the end of the day, I am being harassed and minutely accused of "disrupting" despite the that I am only doing my bit. What these people are doing is targetting me.

Now even Orangemike decided to bother me :/.
