Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Melissa McCarthy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bridesmaids (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Winkelvi. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Melissa McCarthy because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! -- WV 15:40, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Winkelvi: Meyank probably should have left an edit summary for the deletion. The material essentially duplicated the beginning of the child article. Not saying it should be removed, just that there was a reason for the removal. --NeilN talk to me 15:48, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Yes, this editor should have left an edit summary, NeilN. Otherwise, how else does anyone know why such a large section of content was removed? Now that I look at their edit history, ommitting edit summaries seems to be a habit, and hopefully, the warning message left will help them to remember to do so in the future. -- WV 16:04, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

November 2014

Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Melissa McCarthy does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! NeilN talk to me 10:45, 7 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Lor. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Jenny Slate  with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. LorTalk 08:35, 24 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Edge of Tomorrow

edit

Hello, regarding Edge of Tomorrow (film), we need to show that the material is verifiable. We do this by providing inline citations linking to references. We need to do this in particular for the accolades that you added. Can you please add inline citations? You can use other film articles as a guide to doing this. Let me know if you need any help. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
