Speedy deletion of Cleveland Stance
editA tag has been placed on Cleveland Stance, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. TN‑X-Man 16:14, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have declined the speedy deletion of the article, but I agree with Tnxman307 that the article was promotional in nature - much of the material would be more appropriate on the organization's website, as it reads as if it were the organization describing itself. I've trimmed the article down to a stub, which can now be expanded. However, while I think the program is Notable, I'm not finding a lot of information online. Typically, articles are Neutral in tone and backed by multiple, Reliable Sources independent of the subject. Other than the US DOJ website, I'm not finding much. In order to keep the article, you'll want to find news articles about the program and its accomplishments, or - at a minimum - a news article or two that document its creation. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 18:47, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
The file File:Flip cup cleveland.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Personal file, no foreseeable encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jon Kolbert (talk) 21:34, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
