Hey There

edit

Hi, I see that you have posted another request for edits on the chiropractic page. As I mentioned previously, this topic is very controversial, and changes are hard to make. However, it is possible with perseverence. I am going to point you to another wikipedia policy: WP:BOLD. In short, it says:

  • "Wikipedia:Be bold (WP:Be bold) is best summed up in three words: "Just do it!". The Wikipedia community encourages users to be bold when updating the encyclopedia. Wikis like ours develop faster when everybody helps to fix problems, correct grammar, add facts, make sure wording is accurate, etc. We would like everyone to be bold and help make Wikipedia a better encyclopedia. How many times have you read something and thought, "Why aren't these pages copy-edited?" Wikipedia not only allows you to add, revise, and edit articles: it wants you to do it. This does require some amount of politeness, but it works. You'll see. Of course, others here will edit what you write. Do not take it personally! They, like all of us, just wish to make Wikipedia as good an encyclopedia as it can possibly be. Also, when you see a conflict in a talk page, do not be just a "mute spectator." Be bold and drop your opinion there!"

In short, what I am hinting at here is you should just make the changes you want and wait and see if other editors revert it or complain about it. In such a case, then discussion moves to the talk page until a consensus is reached or someone gives up :) I have been through a few of these now on the chiropractic page, it is fun, however, I love debate and never give up :) Anyways, I think that once you have made 10 edits (maybe its 20?) then you should be able to edit the chiropractic page yourself as the block only affects new editors with no history. Thus, make a bunch of edits to pages you are interested in and then come back to chiropractic and...see what you can do. I will warn you, expect lots of debate over changes to the chiropractic page. I will probably also debate with you, as I suspect that our views of chiropractic and its future may be different, but this is the nature of wikipedia. What do you think?Puhlaa (talk) 23:41, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
