Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Gearslutz

edit

Hello Mhatma,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Gearslutz for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi, I'm Crystallizedcarbon. Mhatma, thanks for creating Gearslutz!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add additional references with in-depth coverage about the subject from independent reliable sources to the article to meet our verifiability and notablility requirements.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

File:Gearslutz logo.jpg

edit

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 17 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Julian Standen

edit

The article Julian Standen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No coverage in reliable sources. One source is an interview hosted on a blog that is more about the Smiths than it is about the subject. Does not meet WP:GNG, WP:MUSICBIO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 22:16, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Gearslutz logo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Gearslutz logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:17, 16 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Gearspace

edit

Hello, Mhatma,

Thank you for creating Gearspace.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

More references are needed about the work and activity of this audio engineering studio. References about the name change do not cut the ice. Thank you for your attention to this.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hi @Whiteguru:! Can you please clarify what you mean with your comment "work and activity of this audio engineering studio" - Gearspace isn't a studio, it's a website about recording gear, studios etc. RE the name change, there is a source for the quote from the founder about it, there are a few articles around the web with more detail that I will look at sourcing. Thank you :)
