Wallace Minto

Hi! My name is Valerie Williams, and my father was Wally's cousin. I am the family genealogist, and collected a lot of information about the family back in the 1970's. I only got to meet Wally once because I was in NJ and he was in Sarasota. However, he and my uncle Craig were best friends, so I always heard about his family.

Unfortunately, both his wife Marilyn and eldest child Cindy died 2 years ago. Fortunately, I had a long conversation with Marilyn to clear up some details, and add information to my genealogy about 4 years before she passed away.

I'd like to add some of this information to his Wiki page, but it seems to be locked.

You have done a fabulous job, and if you would prefer me to give you the information and have you add it that would be fine with me.

Hi. I just double check if there are any locks. Wallace Minto was redirecting to Minto wheel. This is objectivly wrong.

(It is also easy to trace back the reason: The Article Wallace L. Minto was created 2015, the Minto wheel)

Wallace Minto is now redirecting to Wallace L. Minto.

Similar issue with Wallace Minto (scientist) and Wally Minto.

The two content pages Wallace L. Minto and Minto wheel do not seem to be looked.

Eitherway, I prefer to work with publicly available information.

I am also a bit skeptical about some of the statements about Wallace L. Minto in the current article. Specifically "atomic explosion in his family home" and "Minto invented the Minto Wheel, as a gift to the Third World countries" seam to me like over statements of the true facts and events. (This has also something to do with culture - in the german speaking region, we separate Science, Physic, Engineering and Invention more strictly and tend to understate, especially when summarizing.)

Anyway - I mainly see my self as an technical animator for Wikipedia and things surrounding that. Biographies are not my field of expertise.

If you would like to honor the memory of your relative, I would suggest to publish your information as a book.

The book could then be used as reference for further generations. This only indirectly affects the Wikipedia page, but has the advantage, that a reference copy in a university library will be there unaltered for centuries.
