Speedy deletion nomination of Local Dreamers

Hello Michel Geerligs,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Local Dreamers for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

I took a look at User talk:Michel Geerligs/Sandbox and made some edits. I moved the infobox to the top and put the period (full stop) at the end of the sentence rather than after the reference as both of those are standard. I cut down the number of links to the same article, such as Quito, and the links to common English words. Usually, in an article this size, there would only be one link to a particular article. I fixed the dates in the references as they should be 9 March 2015 or 2015-03-09. I also added |language=Dutch to the references and a language template to the external links. The references can be in any language but English language is preferred for external links, with the exception of the official site. I also added some categories in the format [[:Category:Non-profit organisations based in the Netherlands]]. The : before the word category stops the page from being listed in the category and would be removed when it gets moved to article.

I have a few questions. In two places you used Holland. Was this specifically referring to the region or in the sense that people use Holland as the name of the Netherlands? You may want to explain what you mean by talents. Also what is HNK? I noticed that your dates are set as day month year and added a template saying to use that style. At the same time you used "neighborhood". The thing is that the date style is done in what most of the world uses, but not the United States, and the spelling of "neighborhood" is the American version. I don't know which variation of English (British English or American English) is most used in the Netherlands. So if it is the US version the you should add {{Use American English}}. On the other hand if it is BE then put {{Use British English}} and change the spelling to "neighbourhood". Of course either way is fine.

Last question is the images. Did you take the File:Jildou Local Dreamers.jpg yourself or was it obtained from the organisations web site? If it is your photo or you can get someone at the organisation to donate it then that isn't a problem. If the organisation won't donate it then it will need to be deleted. File:LocalDreamersLogoTransparant.png is the logo and would be owned by Local Dreamers so it can't be hosted on the Commons as they only have free images. It can be hosted on Wikipedia once the article is live as a non-free, fair use image.

So if you want to have the article put live you should, when ready, add {{AFC submission}} to the top. After a while, the template says a week or more, someone will review your page and either move it into article space or decline and explain why. Good luck. Thanks for the reply! Also thanks for the changes you made :). When I used Holland I meant to refer to the Netherlands (which is informal I found out) So I changed it to the Netherlands. With talent I meant: 'a special ability that allows someone to do something well'. I tried to make it more clear by stating: 'talent development'. HNK is company who offers working places. I tried to make this more clear. In the Netherlands we mostly use British English. Thanks for the input. I changed it, is it correct how I've done it?

About the images: the first picture is one which I made myself. And what should I do for the Local Dreamers logo?

Sorry about that I got distracted and forgot to come look. To make sure I know, you either have to come to my page and leave a message or on this page make a link to my page but you would need to sign your own comment as well. I tagged the logo image as being uploaded in error. Once the article is moved then the logo can be uploaded to the English Wikipedia with a fair use rational, and that can be fairly difficult. Because of the complex rules you can't upload the logo here until the article is live. I made a couple of edits, here. I fixed the AFC template, you have to remove the "tl|" to make it work. I also moved it to Draft:Local Dreamers and someone will be be along eventually to look at it. I see the template wants a date but I'm not sure how to add it.
