"Similar Incidents" - 2007 Iranian seizure of Royal Navy personnel

edit

Some of (possibly all of) the information you have placed back into the article is incorrect. For example...

"British unmanned reconnaissance plane RPV violated Iranian airspace in northeastern Abadan in June 2004 and was hit by Iranian anti-aircraft guns. RPV debris is available."

The British do not at present actually have unmaned reconaisance vehicles. They have purchased 2 predator UAVs from the USA but these are not set to be operational until mid 2007. The only country really operating UAVs like this are the USA. Any other countries are literally toy planes with camera attached, as opposed to fully remote fighter/bomber/reconaissance planes. There are other errors such as:

"At 21:30 local time on November 1, 2006, two British Black awks (choppers) from Royal Navy hovered at the height of 150 meters at 47,700-17,400 coordinates on Khorramshahr map (Pole-No: new bridge) violating Iranian airspace and they entered Iraqi territory through 62,500-15,500 coordinates after 10 minutes."

None of the British military use black hawk helicopters. The Royal Navy operate the Merlin, Lynx AH-7 and Sea King HC4 The sikorsky black hawk is used by the USA not Britain and so this information is either factually incorrect or completely fabricated. Infact, all of these points appear to be taken from this website forum: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread275014/pg2#pid3075323. A website forum is not a credible source of reliable information and the way in which this is presented also constitutes plaigarism. I have removed these points for now as I did earlier, please be aware this was not vandalism. Should they be re-added they should be done so via the articles talk page, as clearly there are some problems with it. Thanks, if you have any questions about this please feel free to ask me WikipedianProlific(Talk) 13:50, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sima bina-golhaye-sahraiee.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Freedomeagle 22:08, 4 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
