Toxteth Riots

edit

The where deleted as explained in the comments because they are not relevant to the 81 riots. Libcom is not a reputable source. The BBC article did not use the word riot or describe events like a riot. The passages were written more as left-wing diatribe than an encyclopedic article. If I had noticed earlier I would have removed it. --Kitchen Knife (talk) 08:56, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not an answer at all I'm afraid. "The where deleted as explained in the comments because they are not relevant to the 81 riots." Sorry, but that is gibberish. As for "Libcom is not a reputable source." That is your own assertion, it is a repository of radical primary and secondary sources, and what you consider a 'reputable source' is completely subjective. Rebel Violence vs Hierarchical Violence was written by someone else - not Libcom, it is just stored in their library - less than a year after the events of 1985, which pace your useful idiot claim "The BBC article did not use the word riot or describe events like a riot", most certainly were riots. You clearly know nothing about the subject at all, and one source is enough for you 'because it is the BBC'. Unfortunately Wikipedia whilst being very useful attracts pedants and hobbyists like you who frequently know nothing whatsoever about the subjects they decide to start editing.

In this instance, we have a pedant and hobbyist also with useful idiot Joe Public views, "The passages were written more as left-wing diatribe than an encyclopedic article. If I had noticed earlier I would have removed it. --Kitchen Knife (talk) 08:56, 26 December 2017 (UTC)"Reply

http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/october/1/newsid_2486000/2486315.stm The BBC certainly refers to the events of 1985 in Toxteth as riots here, and selectively picking sources as and when they appear to support your views is no good, and evidence of someone who has no knowledge or understanding of the subject but who also insists on speaking from where they don't know - the unfortunate nature of tabloid letters pages and talk radio.

Well tell you what. why don't you take it up with appropriate complaints page.--Kitchen Knife (talk) 20:42, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
