Merger proposals
editYou appear to be setting out on a plan to propose mergers of articles about decades in music with decades general (example: 1330s and 1330s in music). I strongly recommend you stop this effort. The two sets of articles, parallel by decades have existed for some time, and appear to provide a service. See also 1330s in art as another example of a parallel series of articles. I believe every merger proposal will be declined, and all you will have accomplished is wasting other editors' time and goodwill. David notMD (talk) 18:06, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
I understand
editThanks for letting me know this fact. I will immediately abandon this effort. By the way, I'm new to Wikipedia, as you saw, so do you think I should stick to spelling until I have better knowledge of editing? I also noticed that the 1310s in music page contains unnecessary information like Births and Deaths. Should I edit out those? Midknight1342 (talk) 20:14, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- W's guideline is BRD, as in be Bold, but if Reverted, take to Talk to Discuss. Be cautious about deleted referenced content (example: Deaths), as that is the sort of thing that an automated program (a 'bot) might revert and leave you a warning about vandalism. Births, however, I feel that deleting the section is valid. David notMD (talk) 19:50, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Welcome to WP:Cleanup!
edit
Hello Midknight1342, and welcome to WikiProject Cleanup! |
August 2021
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 19:51, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

Sathya Sai Baba
editHello. the statement was longer it appears cutoff after the word “simpler…” from my iPhone view so not sure if you read my entire descent on this error. First, Wikipedia is a global trusted brand neutral brand believed by large swaths all countries races all backgrounds. This is Unique to Wikipedia, this platform consolidates and provides pro/con/all viewpoints on any particular topic. It is this vintage that compounds your enterprise value. Ok now your platform is authorizing a clear descent on basis of 1 book, 2 books, whatever amount of books or counter arguments it is inappropriate to imply this based on where wiki stands in the world. I appreciate your thoughtful counter, but engaging in this dialogue isn’t healthy. You win the point. All the best. SKSathishchandar (talk) 17:02, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Note^
This is a reply from your viewpoint on my correction/edit on the misrepresentation of character displayed on Wikipedia’s platform. Specifically the reference to his character, to which Wikipedia is okay with stating “His acts were based on sleight of hand though his devotees believed to be signs of his divinity” Which on its face is misleading and undermines a large group, and has racial undertones. Just wanted to clarify the beginning of this thread was from prior thread. Despite my views, it doesn’t matter because Wikipedia is much larger than us. Thanks. Sai. Hi I just read your response on this thank you SKSathishchandar (talk) 19:24, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Can we please revise the wording? And if possible I can provide a concise proper neutral sentence (without using the current sentence format) if it will actually be considered. Please advise. SKSathishchandar (talk) 19:25, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Sure!
editSure you can! Try saying the sentence out loud, imagining someone else is saying it. If the sentence is not neutral, you'll probably think they are biased. If not, then you'll think it's a sound statement. So yes, you can put in the sentence. You don't need me! Thanks for asking, Midknight1342 (talk) 19:30, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
False removal on Chris Davis page
editAll I added was at the start when I added that he was a soon to be former player. I was not the person who added the biased editing (even though I love Chris Davis as a player himself) I was just the victim of the most recent edit curse.
Hi, "Soon to be former" seems to be a wee bit biased. Maybe if you added citations describing when Chris Davis said that he was to be leaving baseball, and more than one source says this. After that, then you can add that he is about to leave on the personal Life section. All in all, the point is that you simply didn't cite, and you placed your edit on the wrong section of the page. It might make people visiting Wikipedia for Chris Davis's article sad that he's leaving. We just don't want to make people sad for nothing. But thanks for your edit! Cheers, Midknight1342 (talk) 14:56, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Revert on Will Malnati
editHi, I just wanted to ask about your revert of my edit on Will Malnati. I'm assuming it was a mistake and I've gone ahead and restored it, but please let me know if there's anything you wanted to discuss about it. Thanks. – Broccoli & Coffee (Oh hai) 16:58, 18 August 2021 (UTC)

editHello, I did make a mistake. I got confused between the orange and blue edits. Thanks for bringing it back! Cheers, Midknight1342 (talk) 00:03, 19 August 2021 (UTC)
how do you report something or someone on this site
Hello! You warn, not report, most people on the site. We on Wikipedia only report for serious or egregious problems. You can also tag articles for maintenance. Also, when you comment on talk pages, don't forget to sign with four of these ~. Cheers! Midknight1342 (talk) 16:55, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
