Do you have any independent photos of both buildings that you could post here, to refute what I supposedly know about it? Wahkeenah 17:13, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- I found one [1] and you are absolutely right about it being the Wilson Bulding. However, there is a mockup of the Carnation Building, a figurine, that looks the same [2]. So now I wonder if they are the same building? Do you have any photos of the Carnation Building? Wahkeenah 17:40, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent writeup. But what about the Carnation Building? Did the inventors of that figurine get it and the Wilson Building confused? Where is a photo of the Carnation Building? Wahkeenah 18:37, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- The picture, as it were, is beginning to emerge. I got my info from various online sources, which shows the risk of "secondary" research. The one thing I wondered about was an apparent conflict in street addresses. I think your explanation resolves that. When I get home and can work on it some more, I'm going to add some info to the now-erroneously-labeled photo that I had uploaded, i.e. to explain the confusion (which I think is a bit beyond the scope of the Superman article itself). Thanks for your help, and I apologize for my knee-jerk reaction. I am very sensitive to "vandalism" and misinformation these days. And I'm always glad to correct the record once the facts are certain. :) I'm thinking the creators of that figurine would have been safer calling it "Daily Planet Building". :) Wahkeenah 19:51, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I saw your note on the debut date. I also saw that you've been working with Ted Newsom in trying to keep the Reeves page factual. I had some discussion with him about the suicide-vs.-murder issue, as I recall, and he pretty well convinced me that the supposed "inconsistencies" are not so inconsistent. Meanwhile, I restored your previous edits on the article, and also fixed the caption to the picture. Tonight I will add some info to the picture page itself. Thanks for your patience with my hot-button reactions to things I get defensive about. Like this subject. :) Wahkeenah 22:10, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- I re-uploaded the same photo to a properly-named image and re-directed it in the article. The next logical step would be to take a representative screen capture of the Carnation entrance and upload it in the same place as the "Carnation Building as Daily Planet.JPG" I'm thinking maybe in "Superman on Earth", where Lois and Jimmy are dashing out to her midget car. Or if you can suggest a better one...? Wahkeenah 22:46, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
- I done did it. I uploaded a frame from "Superman on Earth", which should appear once the database catches up. You can make out the lower portion of the "5045" above the glass doors. That's a rather modern-looking building for 1951, which maybe is one reason it was chosen. There is another cut just after this shot, which has Lois' little Nash Rambler (or whatever) in the foreground and is otherwise panned to the right a bit, thus showing more of the stonework. Wahkeenah 01:48, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- I consider the Carnation entrance to be a fill-in at best. It's odd that it seems so hard to find photos of this place. As far as other locations go, I can't account for what odd (and possibly erroneous) information other editors have put in. It's fair to say, in general, that as the series progressed there was less and less location shooting. Wahkeenah 16:48, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- I have been reincarnated. You had posted a link on my old talk page that had an illustration of the Carnation Building. Unfortunately, I lost that link. Could you post it again? Thank you! Baseball Bugs 12:07, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent! You're right, it's not much, but at least it's something. I would think the Carnation company might have something somewhere... although I wouldn't count on it, since modern corporations often don't much care about their own history unless they can make a buck from it (a la Coca-Cola). Baseball Bugs 20:54, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
- The only thing I found, under "Carnation Milk Building" in Google, was this rather featureless item showing the milk-white wall of the building. [3] A spam site, basically, but worth a look for the photo. Baseball Bugs 21:11, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

A new user is making a major revamp of the series pages. Looks interesting. Maybe you'll want to check it out. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 01:43, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

This was a fine version, fine link, death of time approx 2am, there is this monkey user here who deletes, can you guys put these things back and watch out for changes?
- Hi. Actually, Monkeyzpop and I have discussed this on the Reeves page discussion tab. What source do you have that gives a definitive time of 2am? Jan Alan Henderson's SPEEDING BULLET says that different sources give different times, ranging anywhere from 1am - 2:30am (page 106, original edition). Both Monkeyzpop and I have a copy of the LAPD report, and that says "moments after" Reeves went back upstairs at 1:20am, a shot was heard. Still, a time range isn't a bad idea; I just changed the word "at" to "between" so it would be grammatically correct. MikeH0714 20:26, 19 May 2007 (UTC) Michael J. Hayde
- Yea, but monkeyboy deleted nice link on bio. Can you provide link to the photos of his death and police report, death certificate?

License tagging for Image:Hoot brown.JPG
editThanks for uploading Image:Hoot brown.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:07, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hoot title.JPG
editThanks for uploading Image:Hoot title.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
